Jai Ho! Theatre Troupe
The Jai Ho! Theatre Troupe is a Surrey-based youth performing group.
Here are a bit about the proud troupe members!
Matthew Furtado is in Grade 9 at Fleetwood Park Secondary. Matthew performed in two elementary school productions, including a leading role in “Treasure Island” when he was in Grade 6 at Walnut Road Elementary. This is his first high school play. In addition to drama, Matthew also enjoys playing bass guitar and listening to music. His favourite band is Rush.
Ravi Sall is a World Literature Major at SFU, she enjoys the arts and has long been involved with acting in theatrical plays along with a passion for creative writing, music and reading the classics. She is an avid Vancouver Canucks fan, loves watching international soccer and lists her favorite athletic activity as Tae Kwon Do.
Taylor Harrison is a high school graduate from Fleetwood Park Secondary and is now studying at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. She has been in 5 plays and “The Essay” will be her 6th. Along with performing, she also loves long walks on the beach and sipping hot cocoa in the rain. Her favourite sporting activity is softball.
Fara Shah is currently a high school student who excels in many areas of the arts, academics and athletics. She is thoughtful, an articulate speaker and expresses much emotion through her acting. Her future aspirations include studying political science and making a difference in our world.
Kristina Dosanjh is currently a grade 12 student at Fleetwood Park Secondary. She discovered her passion for acting when she performed in her first high school play called “Finding the Suitable Boy”. Her future goals are to study medical science and continue acting as she loves to play different roles in order to expand her horizons. She loves reading the “Twilight” saga. Along with reading, her other hobbies include cooking, and bhangra dancing.
Nesan Furtado is a Grade 12 student at Fleetwood Park Secondary School. He has acted in many school productions in a large variety of roles. His many talents include: martial arts, playing piano and drumming. His favorite one act play is “Finding the Suitable Boy”.
